Your vote matters

Did you know that each vote is worth more than $36,000 dollars?

As a stakeholder in this corporate body we call the State of Hawaii, the value of your equal share in an $18 billion dollar annual budget is around $36,000. Whether you pay more or less than $36,000 a year in State taxes, that is the equal shareholder value of one vote.

Your vote is your voice. Voting is not about taking sides. Voting is about expressing your voice. Voting is telling the government what our priorities should be.

Don’t let anyone else speak for you. To not vote only gives your voice and vote for someone else to make.  Voting on another party ballot diminishes your voice for a platform built on family values, common-sense practices in business and the environment.  Make your voice known, vote on the Republican Primary ballot on August 10, 2024.

Well put! Most people cannot relate to such large numbers. I estimated how much I paid for the rail, based on the extra half percent GE tax over the years. I’m self-employed so I pay on my gross sales and purchases. It was at least $16,000 for something I won’t use.

Just curious, is your number based on the voting age population or the total population?

Less than 500,000 ballots were recorded to have been cast in the 2022 General Election, 419,363 to be exact. If only 10% more of the population were to vote, it would have a significant impact on many races statewide.
