Elections Matter

A bedrock principle of our Republic is to have the consent of the governed. In most cases, we achieve this by voting to elect representatives who conduct business and make decisions on behalf of the public.

After the 2020 General Election, I had questions of my own; finding a voter record in my neighborhood by the name of UNITED STATES HAWAII, that is first name UNITED, last name HAWAII. This UNITED S. HAWAII does not live at the recorded address, nor receive mail, let alone receive a ballot by mail, but still recorded as VOTED BY MAIL in the 2020 General Election.

Most people expect some level of fraud in any election. Consent of the governed is achieved, even if we suspect some level of fraud has occurred. The question, though is, how much fraud are you willing to accept before it matters?
