My great-grandfather came to Hawaii 150 years ago in 1872 and was a rice farmer in Kaneohe. My grandfather worked at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. My father was called to be a minister of the Gospel in Japan, Taiwan, and China. I was blessed to have grown up overseas, return for an education, serve in the military, to live, work and travel in over 40 States and 30 countries with my wife, Melissa, and four children, and to finally return home to Hawaii.
I spent a career advocating for freedom and defending democracy around the world. None is more important than ensuring every legal vote counts for the people of Hawaii in a free and fair election. Voting is the sovereign expression of the people, make it count.
